Tom Pidcock Joins Q36.5 Pro Team on Three-Year Deal
Dec 6 – Double Olympic mountain bike champion Tom Pidcock has confirmed his move to the Swiss Q36.5 Pro team on a three-year contract, following his decision to leave Ineos Grenadiers at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old British all-rounder, who has been part of the Ineos squad since 2021, had signed a five-year extension in 2022, keeping him with the British team until 2027. However, Pidcock announced on Wednesday that he would be leaving at the conclusion of this season.
One of the brightest talents in cycling, Pidcock won gold in the mountain bike event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and defended his title at the Paris 2024 Games in an exhilarating race.
“This isn’t just a change of jersey; it’s the start of something special,” Pidcock said in a statement about his new chapter. “The chance to work with a team that’s growing, with incredible partners and brands, is something that motivates me. I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together. I know the challenge that we face getting to where we want to be but it’s an adventure and I’m excited for it.”
Pidcock’s move signals a new chapter in his career, as he looks forward to new challenges with a rising team.
